Grids in the real world

You've read a little about grids, what they are and how they can help your design. Now, I want you to start to see the grids in real-world pictures and design. I want you to create grids for the following:

1- A person's face
2- A landscape photograph of nature
3- A landscape photograph of an urban setting
4- The words "Grid Structure" (in any font you choose)
5- A full-page ad
6- A tw0-page spread (editorial, NOT advertising!)

Try to find digital versions of these. Add in your grid lines in Illustrator or Photoshop. Make sure to use layers, so you can change them around if they are wrong! (And I expect to find some that are wrong!)

When finished, save these as either an Illustrator .pdf or a photoshop .jpg. If you want to make one large PDF file that contain all six, that's fine too. Ask me how if you need help doing that.

HOMEWORK:
• Create grid structures on the six existing items listed above
• These are due when you come to class on Monday!
